Abstract: ‘Witawali’ was possibly a Kaurna name originally, but we know it only from Tindale’s informant in the 1930s, the Ramindjeri man Reuben Walker, who gave it as the name of a site on Sellick’s Beach near The Washpool. Its meaning is unknown.
