Title: Wavelet based image texture segementation using a modified K-means algorithm / by Brian W. Ng.
Author: Ng, Brian Walter
Issue Date: 2003
School/Discipline: Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Abstract: In this thesis, wavelet transforms are chosen as the primary analytical tool for texture analysis. Specifically, Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform is applied to the texture segmentation problem. Several possibilities for feature extraction and clustering steps are examined, new schemes being introduced and compared to known techniques.
