Abstract: | The authors describe the general problem of cut-off grade optimisation for multi-mineral deposits and outline the use of genetic algorithms for optimal cut-off grade schedules for deposits with up to three constituent minerals. Case studies are given and a comparison is made with Lane's multi-mineral cut-off grade algorithm. |
