Abstract: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The Australian xiphydriid woodwasp genus <jats:italic>Austrocyrta</jats:italic>, previously known only from a single species, <jats:italic>A. australiensis</jats:italic> Riek, is revised. A second distinctive species from Carnarvon National Park in south‐central Queensland, <jats:italic>A. fasciculata</jats:italic> Jennings &amp; Austin, sp. nov., is described, and a key to separate the males of the two species is provided.</jats:p>
